Our party cupcakes are delicious!

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/3 cups butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

***

Buttercream Frosting

3 egg whites
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
8 ounces sweet whipped butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup cocoa powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare muffin tin with cupcake papers.

In a small bowl, sift flour and baking powder together and set aside.

Beat together butter and sugar. Mix in egg and sour cream and beat well. Beat until thoroughly mixed. Alternate mixing in flour mixture and milk. Beat well after each addition.

Add vanilla and mix well.

Spoon into cupcake papers. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Check with toothpick, should come out clean.

In a small bowl beat egg whites to form soft peaks. Gradually add 3/4 cup powdered sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

In a medium sized bowl, beat butter until creamy. Mix in remainder of sugar and beat together. Fold in vanilla and meringue until well-blended.

Seperate frosting into two bowls. In one bowl add cocoa powder and beat well.

Frost cupcakes with one side vanilla and one side chocolate. If desired, grate a little chocolate over top for decoration.

Makes about 20 cupcakes.

Mmmmm!
