Crazy for Chocolate and Nuts?
Chunky Chocolate Blondies!

What's your favorite mix for Chunky Chocolate Blondies? I made
White Chocolate Pecan and Chocolate Almond Blondies.

Ingredients

1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar, lightly packed
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips*
1/2 cup lightly chopped nuts*

Preheat oven to 325 and grease a 9 X 13 baking pan.

In a medium sized bowl, beat together butter and sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla, and beat well.

In a seperate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients to sugar and butter mixture about a cup at a time. Mix well with each addition.

Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spoon into prepared pan and spread to cover bottom of pan. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes. Should be golden brown and the edges should start pulling away from the sides. Let cool before cutting.

Mmmmm...Enjoy!

* Use your favorite chocolate and nut mix. I could not decide between white chocolate pecan brownies and chocolate almond brownies, so I split the batter and made both! I used bittersweet chocolate chips (60% cacao) for the chocolate almond blondies.
