Chocolate Chip Cookies
Everybody loves Chocolate Chip Cookies! These cookies are soft, chewy...delicious. A perfect treat!
Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, cream butter, brown sugar and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
Add flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in chocolate chip and nuts, if desired. Place small balls onto geased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies. Enjoy!
TIP: Dough can be frozen to keep up to one month. Form dough into a roll, wrap in plastic and cover with foil before placing in freezer.
